Lesson 9: university

Cancelled or postponed? 中止ちゅうし means it's off. 延期えんき means it's moved to another day.
Three ways to miss school. 欠席けっせき (off all day), 遅刻ちこく (late), 早退そうたい (leaving early).
Read letters for two things. The action word (提出ていしゅつ, 持参じさん, 記入きにゅう) and the date before までに.

Four easy mix-ups

Off all day, late, and leaving early.

中止ちゅうし・延期えんき

Cancelled, and postponed to another day.

Sports day is postponed to next week.

得意とくい・苦手にがて

Good at, and not good at.

娘むすめは英語えいごが得意とくいです。

My daughter's good at English.

I'm not great at maths.

送おくる・迎むかえに行いく

Take someone somewhere, and go to pick someone up.

駅えきまで送おくるね。

I'll take you to the station.
